Jenny Sung has been professionally dancing, choreographing, and teaching in the Twin Cities for over 13 years. Dance has taken Jenny to packed theaters in New York and Minnesota, orphanages in Romania, mega churches throughout the Midwest, Women’s Prisons inspiring the inmates, and outdoor parks working with the Youth. She is the Artistic Director and Founder of One Dance Company, and she is entering her 10th year of performing with Kinetic Evolutions Dance Company directed by Sarah Larose-Holland.
Alicia Ayodele enjoys dancing in community events, faith-based programs, and professionally. She began dancing for the Evansh High School hip-hop team in Orlando, FL. Alicia trained in ballet and jazz at Florida State University and was a member of Chameleon Dance, a hip-hop/jazz troupe. In Minneapolis, she has performed works by choreographers, such as Deneane Richburg and Alanna Morris Van-Tassel, danced with Threads Dance Project (a contemporary company), and is currently performing with One Dance. She also teaches at Creo Dance and Arts Conservatory/Tonka Danceworks. Alicia has a Master’s degree in Math (FSU) and a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology (Quantitative Methods) from the University of Minnesota. She is interested in arts-based research and evaluation. When not dancing or teaching, she enjoys spendings time with her husband and three children.
Maura Bremer is a graduate of Gustavus Adolphus College who has been dancing with One Dance Company since August of 2015. During her time at Gustavus, she majored in Communication Studies and minored in French and Dance. Over her four years, she had the pleasure to perform in, choreograph, and direct shows with the Gustavus Dance Company. Maura currently works as a Recruiting Coordinator for a Minneapolis-based consulting firm. In addition to One Dance Company, Maura has performed with SEVEN Dance and teaches at Hudson Dance Academy. Outside of work and dance, Maura loves running around the lakes in Uptown, trying new coffee shops, and planning trips to up North. Maura is so grateful for the community of One Dance Company and cannot imagine dancing with a more inspiring, supportive, brave group of women.
Jordan A Bergman is performing and visual artist working in the Twin Cities area. She is a graduate from Gustavus Adolphus College with a BA in Dance and Studio Art. She has been dancing with One Dance Company since the summer of 2015. She has also danced for Rathaus productions and Altered Odyssey as well as shown choreography at the 9×22 Dance Lab. When she is not dancing you can find her painting or crocheting while binge watching Netflix.
Claire Curran is a climate organizer and student at United Theological Seminary, working to build a just and sustainable world for all. Claire graduated from Gustavus Adolphus College, where she studied Religion and Peace Studies and danced with the Gustavus Dance Company. Claire is deeply grateful to be a part of One Dance Company and have the opportunity create spaces for community, healing, and transformation through dance.
Audi works as legal assistant and dance teacher. She graduated in 2016 from Gustavus Adolphus College with majors in Psychological Science and Political Science, with a Dance Minor. She enjoys spending time with her family dog, being in the sunshine, and brunch.
Courtney graduated from Gustavus Adolphus College in the spring of 2016 with majors in Sociology and Anthropology and Psychological Science and a minor in Dance. She joined One Dance Company the summer after graduating and is honored to grow and create change with the women of One Dance. Courtney is passionate about youth advocacy and serving others. She loves exploring and trying new things, especially with a good cup of coffee. She is so excited and honored to be dancing with such a spirited, encouraging group of strong women!
Sophia has fifteen years of classical ballet training from Ballet Arts Minnesota and St. Croix Ballet. She has attended summer intensives with the American Ballet Theater in California, Pittsburgh Ballet Theater in Pennsylvania and the Minnesota Ballet in Duluth. As a part of the Gustavus Dance Company, Sophia studied modern technique, choreography, improvisation and performance with Melissa Rolnick, Jeffrey Peterson, Cynthia Gutierrez-Garner, Michele Rusinko, Sarah Hauss and Stephen Koplowitz. She has co-produced a show for the MN Fringe Festival, and taught dance through private studios, and Minneapolis Community Education. Sophia is currently working in the U of M’s College of Continuing Education, and pursuing her Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership from St. Catherine University. In her third year as a company member, Sophia is incredibly thankful for the intentional, creative, enriching community of One Dance.
This is Kathryn’s second year with One Dance, and she is so grateful to be dancing with this supportive, collaborative group of women. She also teaches and choreographs at Out on a Limb Dance Company and School. Kathryn is a graduate of the College of Design at the U of M, and from 9 to 5 she uses her curiosity and creativity as a UX designer.
Erin Simon is a Twin Cities-based dancer, choreographer, and dance educator. She graduated from Gustavus Adolphus College with a B.A. in English and Writing and a minor in dance. Erin has danced for local companies Jeffrey Peterson Dance and Ogren-Dehn Productions and is currently dancing for One Dance Company, Minnesota. She also works as a guest teacher and choreographer at Out on a Limb Dance Company & School (Saint Paul, MN) and as a volunteer coordinator for a Twin Cities literacy tutoring program.
Una Setia studied at the University of Oklahoma and the University of Minnesota where she graduated with a B.F.A. in dance. Una has been a yoga instructor since 2000. She teaches group yoga classes as well as offering private lessons and yoga parties. Una’s performance career has ranged from dancing in schools to educate students to more formal venues and even occasionally as a back up dancer for up and coming singers. She has performed with Kinetic Evolutions, Jeffrey Peterson Dance Company, and Ashleigh Penrod’s String Lights to name a few. Una is currently a member of Christopher Watson Dance Company and she also choreographs and coordinates dance flash mobs for a variety of organizations.
